As part of a larger deck renovation, I made this sliding lattice panel that provided access under the deck for hot tub maintenance. Space restrictions would not allow me to hinge the access door like I might normally, and I didn't want to do a traditional slider setup where the panels are offset because that would not match the rest of the panels around the deck. Instead, I designed a track system that I had John Parker from The Painted Garden, Inc fabricate for me that had the access panel pass behind the neighboring panel while in use, but still allowed it to sit flush when not in use.
